The Write To Heal Women’s Empowerment Program has been an incredibly powerful journey so far. We’ve had a beautifully diverse group of women attending, each bringing their own story, strength, and willingness to heal.
This program was created especially for women who have experienced historic abuse, because we know that the remnants of those experiences don’t just fade away. They can last not only for weeks or months, but for years, shaping how we see ourselves and how we move through life.
Over the weeks, we’ve journeyed through the many layers of pain and healing. The women who joined us have shared experiences of domestic abuse, workplace abuse, and even abuse within the wider community. We’ve explored how these different forms of trauma impact our sense of worth, trust, and belonging and how creativity can become a pathway to release and renewal.
Each week, we’ve focused on peeling back emotional layers uncovering the negative thoughts, fears, and patterns that hold us back. The sessions have been intense but deeply freeing, which is why we’ve also created online check-in spaces for the women to connect, reflect, and support one another between sessions. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in community.
One of the most exciting developments has been the creation of a collective anthology, a book of personal chapters written by women in the program, sharing their stories of survival, resilience, and rebirth. So far, seven women have committed to contributing their chapters, each a testimony to courage and transformation.
The process has awakened something powerful in them, a rediscovery of creativity many didn’t know they had. Writing has become more than expression; it’s become a way to reclaim power and purpose.
This season of Write To Heal has shown us that when women come together to write, to share, to be seen something sacred happens. Healing takes root. Voices rise. Creativity blooms.
And that’s exactly what The Eden Jar stands for:
Creating. Healing. Rising. Together.
